Nature, health and culture are particularly closely interrelated in our region. At WALK, the competence centre for hiking, we bring the individual contexts that walkers and interested parties can experience right outside our door closer to them.
With exhibitions in the centre and at changing locations, we present walking, health and nature themes, such as the geology of our low mountain landscape, the global climate, the history of evolution, medical aspects and philosophical discussions.
We help to create and organise readings, presentations, multimedia shows and other events. Finally, the centre is a hub for the growing knowledge regarding issues relevant to walking and this enables us to integrate them immediately into our project work.
